Cucumber “88” and tonic
Ingredients
2-oz. “88” Gin
4-oz. Tonic Water
Cucumber Slices
Garnish: 2 Lime Wheels
Steps
- Wrap long cucumber slices around inside of highball glass.
- Fill a highball glass with ice, then add “88”.
- Top with the tonic water and lightly stir.
- Garnish with a spray or Lime Elements, or lime wheel and cucumber wheel.
Negroni “88”
Ingredients
2-oz. “88” Gin
1-oz. Campari
1-oz. Sweet Vermouth
Garnish: Orange Peel
Steps
- Add the “88”, Campari and sweet vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice, and stir until well-chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with large ice cubes.
- Garnish with an orange peel.
French “88”
Ingredients
3-oz. Champagne (Double Shot)
1/2-oz. fresh lemon juice
3/4-oz. “88” Gin (Single Shot)
1 tsp. Vermouth
1 tsp. Agave or Sugar Syrup
(We recommend Groovy Food Co Organic Light & Mild Agave Nectar)
Garnish: One long strip of lemon peel
Steps
- Combine “88”, vermouth, syrup, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously for a few seconds and strain into an iced champagne glass.
- Top up with Champagne, then stir gently and add the long strip of lemon peel—add it gently or it will make the Champagne froth over.
Glass recommendations: a Champagne flute.
Bees Knees “88”
Ingredients
2-oz. “88” Gin
3/4-oz. Lemon Juice
(Freshly squeezed is best)
1/2-oz. Honey syrup
Garnish: Lemon Elements or a Lemon Twist
Steps
- Add the “88”, lemon juice and honey syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with Lemon Elements or a lemon twist.
Vesper “88” Martini
Ingredients
3-oz. “88” Gin (Double Shot)
1.5-oz. Singularity Vodka (Half Shot)
1 tsp. Vermouth
Garnish: Two thin slices of orange peel
Garnish: Fresh rosemary needles
Steps
- The needs to be served ice cold, so chill the ingredients and the cocktail shaker if you can.
- Fill your shaker with ice, twist in one slice of orange peel to release the oils and break a few rosemary needles into the shaker.
- Pour in the “88”, vodka and vermouth.
- Shake for 10 seconds and filter into the glass. Garnish with the second slice or orange peel.
Glass recommendations: a Martini glass, ideally a small one… or double up the measures for a large one.
Earl Grey “88” toddy
Ingredients
3-oz. “88” Gin (Double shot)
1.5-oz. Lemon Juice (Single Shot)
3/4-oz. Agave or Sugar Syrup
Earl Grey in boiling water
One strip Orange Peel
Garnish: Cinnamon and Orange Zest
Steps
- In a cocktail shaker, add “88”, lemon juice and agave syrup. Adjust these to taste, as some people prefer it more tart and others sweeter.
- Shake briefly and then filter into a heatproof glass.
- Add Earl Grey in boiling water to the glass, stir briefly, garnish with a cinnamon stick and orange zest.
